Breaking: Egypt Successfully Rescues its Citizens from the Grip of the Rapid Support Forces in Sudan

Written by Dr. Nader Ali

In a successful security operation, Egyptian authorities announced the rescue of Egyptian citizens who were recently kidnapped by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia in Sudan, in coordination with Sudanese authorities. The operation, which was carried out under the directives of President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, was executed with great care to ensure the safety of the Egyptian nationals being returned to their homeland.

According to official sources, the Egyptian security forces managed to transport the kidnapped individuals from the conflict areas in central Khartoum to the city of Port Sudan, which was designated as a safe point, in full coordination with the relevant Sudanese authorities. After securing their safety, they were transferred to Cairo International Airport and safely returned to Egypt.

This operation reflects the ideal coordination between the security agencies of both countries, highlighting Egypt’s commitment to protecting its citizens abroad and strengthening cooperation with Sudan in confronting common security challenges. It also demonstrates Egypt's ability to take decisive steps to implement effective policies for the protection of its citizens, even amid the difficult conditions in the region.

For his part, President El-Sisi emphasized that ensuring the safety of Egyptian citizens abroad is a top priority, and that the coordination with Sudanese counterparts was essential to the success of this operation. This operation stands as a powerful message about Egypt's capacity to handle crises, even in areas experiencing armed conflicts.

This event opens new horizons for cooperation between Egypt and Sudan in security matters and strengthens the relations between the two countries in addressing regional and international challenges.
